When Jesus was confronted with a marriage-issue question that was being argued at that time He responded as follows:

“Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,  And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?  Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder”  (Matthew 19:4-6).

The issue concerned divorce for “any cause” but the answer the Lord Jesus gave certainly revealed His definition of marriage.  Look at it again–Male and female joined together by God the Creator as husband and wife.  That is the only kind of marriage authorized by the Lord Jesus Christ Who was in perfect agreement with His Father, God the Father.

To argue that the man and wife could be those of the same sex would be to contradict the Lord Jesus Christ, for He plainly referred to the husband and wife as MALE and FEMALE in the passage.  To contradict Christ is to be anti-Christ.

I agree with the Lord’s definition of marriage.  Do you?

  1. Marriage is the opportunity to experience an eternal future now on Earth. The more I excel at marriage the better chance I have in understanding the relationship He wants to establish with me.
